Hello. I am currently using Linnworks. Its OK.

So I know what my options might be, I am looking around other packages that carry out similar functions. I sell through Opencart 1.5 and Amazon. (Linnworks.Net doesnt like Opencart 1.5 which is why I mention this version number)

Anyone using Channel Grabber who can give some pointers to its strengths and weaknesses?

    Thanks very much

    Graeme

No reason as I have never considered it to be honest, so I don't know if it would suit or not. Thanks for the nudge.

Issue with Linnworks is that Linnworks.net (which has some good features that Linnworks desktop does not) does not integrate with Opencart 1.5 or prior.

    I attempted a trial with ChannelGrabber - Opencart 2 > Magento 2.

Magento integration requires that you also have an Amazon/Ebay store. I don’t.

Opencart integration would have to be written by me using their API. (I believe there’s a commercial integration available for 1.5).

Ultimately, my questions were neither read properly nor did they elicit useful responses. I couldn’t set a trial up so I dismissed it altogether.

I’m still receiving marketing messages asking why I haven’t yet proceeded with my trial...

    Hi Merchado,

I'm sorry to hear that you don't feel like we read your requests or responded to them appropriately, this is not the high standard of service we're aiming for.

I managed have a read over our chat history to see if I've missed anything but it looks like i answered each of your questions - If there's something you need to know in more detail than I've already given you, i'd be happy to oblige .

To clarify our stance on OpenCart for GraemeL; we do indeed support OpenCart 1.5.x and we'd be pleased to set you up with a demo so you can see this working in action. Just book one with me on the home page of our website ;)

Thanks Sam. I specifically asked in a message how/if I could trial the software without an Amazon or Ebay integration.

You just said that I could trial it if I had one. Which didn’t answer my question and also wouldn’t have allowed me to trial things anyway. As I wouldn’t have written an Opencart integration just for the purposes of a trial.

The platform looks good, I’m perfectly honest about that. Unfortunately I can’t trial it and therefore it’s not for my client.

Thanks for coming back to me - Yes unfortunately that's right. The system you wanted to try would require a non-API channel to gain access initially, and since the whole project rested on an API integration there wouldn't be a whole lot to poke around at until it was done.

I'll pass your comments on to the team to discuss a better way of dealing with this particular scenario. We're currently finishing an integrations-framework which may pave the way to OpenCart 2.x & Magento 2.x integrations being readily available, so we may be in touch soon!
