Hello Guys,

My CCNA is about to expire (April) and I want to stay current but i'm short of time and resources:

If I take the CCENT (which I can probably manage by just reading the latest Wendell Odom book) is that a way of staying current in terms of Cisco and certification? I know its not a full CCNA but if I could use it to buy time...

Cisco say something like: 'if you allow your certificate to expire then you must retake certifications as if you were never certified...'

Whats the difference? Either way if you know the material you can take the exam and hopefully pass or if you dont know the material, you need to read and possibly train before you take the exam. What difference does it make if you are current or not?

I'm asking here because I have username/password problems with Cisco.com/netacad and I could never get along with that site anyway...

Thanks.
