Hi Folks,

We have recently been awarded judgement in our favour, the defendant has today at the last minute paid.

They were found in breach of contract, do we still have to hand over guarantees etc?

The work was pretty much finished December 2012 this was specialist building works, they have since had a general builder changing this/ adding things etc.

The answer is likely to depend on your terms and conditions of contract. Were they on one of the construction standard forms? It may be that the further buliding changes have invalidated the warranty you are required to give.
