Hi

Ive been looking at a few different cashback sites and am intrigued as to how some can give away all the commission on offer? Do they have another way of earning revenue?
There are a couple that aren't 'volume' players so won't have extra commissions, so I cant see how they earn any income!

They are affiliate sites and just share their commission with the buyer. Some of the bigger ones will get special terms and can often pay more cashback than regular affiliates get in commission.
The smaller players will have a minimum payout and just rely on a percentage of people never bothering to withdraw.

Utter madness in my opinion :)

Ah, I see. We are in the travel business and have been approached by one of these sites so am just looking around.

Is there any potential in niche cashback sites?

There is always potential but there are a lot of people in the market who have had many years head start.
There is an element of people who will always go out of their way to get some kind of perceived saving no matter how false or insignificant.

Quidco and Topcashback give all their commission away to their user...Quidco charge an annual fee and Topcashback make their revenue from advertising.

Lots of other cashback sites will split the commission 50/50.

You need to be careful as a good chunk of customers would have shopped with you, but you'll need to see test the water to see the proportions. Treat it as customer retention exercise.

Topcashback have a holiday search powered by AffiliateFuture. You need to login to see it.
