I am after some advice on what courses to do for a change of career in Plumbing and Heating.

Currently i am working as a satellite tv installer which i have been doing for the past 5 years!

Seeing as i have a mortgage and work full time i am unable to do a college course as there is no guarantee that i will be able to finish work on time for a part time evening college course. Also working as an apprentice is a no go as i won't be able to afford the mortgage; plus i am 26.

The only other option is by doing a course through training providers like OLCI Construction Training or New Career Skills where i can study at home in the evenings and learn on my days off by going to the practical training centers.

Can someone advise me on whether or not these courses are worth doing through these types of training providers? If not what advice can someone give me to achieve my goal of a new career as a plumbing and heating engineer.

Many Thanks!
