Car hire booking software

Hi all,

I've just recently started a sports car hire business and currently I have the rental agreement on ms word, and I amend the driver details for each rental, and re-save. I have the logo on and it looks ok.

However what I'd like is a piece of software, online or offline, which I can load our rental agreement in, and simply punch in the clients details and it punches out a much more professional looking document

Anyone on here in the rental business and could point me to anything?

Many thanks, Mark

I am not sure what you mean by more professional, but I would stick with the Word template and then print a copy to PDF using the free PDFCreator program (Google it). Using this, you can print any document and save it as a PDF which is great for quotes/invoices etc. before you send them out.

Do keep a copy of the original Word document if you need to amend it though, as PDF's are a pain to edit.

Hi,

Thats indeed what i currently do, type it all up on word then "print" using Cute PDF, keeping the original to over-write.

I just think it'll be nice to use something thats a bit more specific and quicker for what we're doing, by having something where i dont have to delete the previous clients details first, then save-as for the new client, and re-do.

We could write you a simple database for this... you fill in the fields, press "go" and it will spit out the PDF.

Once you've got the details in you'd be able to spit out reports/spreadsheets showing all your bookings over a period to help with the accounts. You could even make it store scanned copies of the signed agreements as well so you had them handy.

The above is really simple to do, we could knock it up in an hour or two, so max £120.

We've done a very similar thing for a business that lets out holiday villas. Get in touch and I'll give you a demo.
