Can't file confirmation statement

I'm losing the will to live.

My confirmation statement is due in 3 days, so last week I tried to log in to Companies House. First I had to create a Onelogin account, which I did, and then tried to log in to Companies House. Unfortunately the verification codes they sent to my email address came way too slow and had expired before I even had chance to use them. After the first three attempts, the codes stopped coming through altogether. I phoned Companies House and they said they were aware of the problem and were trying to fix it...

I've tried every day since then, but to no avail. Today I did actually manage to login and retrieve my company details. However, I can't find anywhere that allows me to file my confirmation statement. I'm guessing it might have something to do with the fact I haven't verified my ID for Onelogin, however I couldn't find anywhere to do that either. There are plenty of Government pages telling about ID verification, but no links so that you can actually do it.

After the data breach fiasco at Companies House and the farce of trying to log in, I have zero faith in this new system.

Can someone point me in the right direction so that I can file my confirmation statement on time?

I don't have a spy phone so I can't use the app, and the nearest Post Office that's likely to be able to verify me is a 30 minute drive. I tried to verify by entering bank details, etc, and even though everything was correct, they claimed they couldn't verify me. I've just been on webchat with them and they were as good as useless. At the end they had the nerve to ask for a rating from one to five stars.

The joke is, even that appears to be 'broken' as it won't let you give them one star, the lowest it seems to accept is two... I guess they can't handle being told how useless they really are.

    The whole thing is confusing

I have Gateway logins, Companies house account and now the new Gov .uk One account, problem is they use different email addresses and I end up going round in circles.

Still trying to do my Identification verification for company - I've got my 11 digit Companies house personal code, have sent it to my accountant but this gov.uk one account uses a different email addess than they have on file with companies house.

Hopefully accountant will sort it, but why can't I verify?
Message in there says Digital authorisation: Authorised, should I be able to verify myself or is it only my agent who can do it?

If you have your 11 digit personal code then you must have verified your ID, all you need to do now is put this code into CH, but you can only do it on the dates given, if you go on to your Company it should give you the dates for both Director and PSC, if your Accountant does your Confirmation Statement and they have your code they should be able to input this for you.

I have done the verification as requested, although I did not realise I had to separately verify as a PSC as well and I have missed the window for that. There is no indication about how I put that right. However, like @UKSBD I have 2 email addresses, both on Companies House and on the new thing. I have to use the same email address when trying to file online, but I don't know which one is being used by either website and I cannot get to the filing screen.

The dates window is useless, as long as you do not try and submit before you can do it anytime afterwards.

I have a single date deadline as director but a deadline window as PSC, but in my case the PSC window ends the same date as the director's deadline.

Is this not the case for you?
I'm not sure. I registered as Director in January as the Confirmation statement was due, not because of a deadline. As PSC the deadline started on my birthday in February.

Please don't tell me you have to go through two verifications? It's bad enough trying to do one.

I went to the Post Office today to verify my ID and then received an email saying they'd registered my verification and that I should log in to my account to see the result. Logged into my account and guess what?... NOTHING!

No idea if I'm verified or not.

It's seriously worrying that these people are looking after the sensitive data of millions of people.

Yes, it does seem there is much potential for confusion.

Does anyone understand the situation for PSCs of Dissolved Companies? One of my Companies has now had the Final Gazette Notice filed and is now listed as Dissolved. However, my PSC page says Verification is due in August 2026.

How do I Verify as a PSC when the Company is already Dissolved?

    Many thanks

You do not need to verify your ID twice, you do however need to input the ID code twice, once as Director and once as PSC but it is the same code.

If the Company is dissolved then there is no need to enter the verification details of a PSC as there no longer is one.

    Thank you.

That one piece of information is more than Onelogin and Companies House were able to provide between them. Their 'support' teams only seem to be interested in passing the buck to blame each other, or recommending you use a ACSP to do the verification for you... which of course YOU have to pay for.

    It's a complete clown show.

Anyway, after a whole week, I finally manged to file my confirmation statement.
