Admittedly it has a smaller processor that the iPhone which affects the browser but email is its bread and butter.

Touch screen as well as buttons (I hate touch screen)

I have a HTC Trophy 7 - a Windows Phone. Prior to this, I rarely used or even carried a mobile with me. Unlike the missus, who's gone through at least 15 phones in the same period (some ended up being utterly destroyed), in 12 years I've had about 5 or 6.

Since having this phone in October, I've rarely left home without it. It has a nice simple interface, is very responsive and is great for games when you're hanging around waiting for a meeting.:)

Vodafone only handset, though.

You're all wrong.;)

Do a search for top mobile phones. Think it's Technet that regularly update a list of the top 20 mobiles. When I looked not long after the iPhone 4 came out, they placed it at no. 2, after the HTC Desire. Now, it's at number 5 because of the new breed of dual core phones.

Think they have the Galaxy S II at no.1

Expect the iPhone 5 to catch up with a dual core processor as well

I would say the original htc desire.
These newer android phones that are out are completely pointless
at the moment, because there are very few apps that can actually
make use of the updated processors.
Plus it will come with a 24 month warranty, pretty much essential
with a smartphone on a 24 month plan.
Plus it's rather cheap, can be had for £18pm for 500 mins, loads of
texts and a few gb oc net usage
