Great day yesterday as every public sector person took the opportunity to do some proper Christmas shopping instead of doing it on line. Quite a few actually said they had forgotten what a buzz it could be shopping in person. We turned the (royalty free) music up, broke out the mince pies and a spot of wine and had fantastic days. With any luck it won't hurt our weekend, so win win week !

I got a day of uni, which was alright. I heard horror stories from friends who decided to go shopping though

Nothing for me yesterday in Grantham, Lincoln was good though.

I only assume those striking in Grantham went to the big cities to shop

Was hearing on the radio yesterday too quite a few small shops reporting good sales...good to hear

My sister is a teacher, and along with her colleagues she hired a bus to take them all to the Meadowhall shopping centre for the day.
