Can i use the word 'GROUP' in a new limited company formation ?

For eg can i use 'Mayfair Infrastructure Group Ltd' instead of 'Mayfair Infrastructure Ltd' ?

I think by adding word GROUP it makes your company sound/look bigger . What are your thoughts ?

It may fool some people briefly - when they do a teeny bit of research it could well backfire

Words such as "group" or "holdings" used to be considered sensitive words, though this has changed.

Yes @Maverick77 hit the nail on the head. It does not matter what we think, Companies House is the key.

Its daft if your not part of a group
One of our competitors here in Devon trades as a group and the customers see it a mile off
So use the name group if your customers know that you are part of group or have reputable group of companies
