Can I Trademark my business?

Hi there,
I’m a bridal makeup artist and hairstylist and started in 2007...
I have found two more business with the same name and although I don’t mind the one in the states I do mind the UK one. Can I trademark my business name as I was here first if you know what I mean would that have any implications on them using the same name? Or do I have no rights as I hadn’t trademarked my name sooner?
