Can I register as a Ltd company but invoice for freelance work personally

Hi all,

I am starting up a limited company with another person (interior design) but whilst we are setting up I am going to do some freelance work for an old employer. As the freelance work will be for me personally and not my business partner, can I invoice from the new limited company for my hours but to be paid into my personal bank account (as long as I declare tax etc).

No. If you invoice from the limited company, the payment belongs to the limited company.

You will need to start a seperate sole-trader business for your freelance work. Then you can invoice them from that 'freelance' business.
