Hi, there hasn’t been much information on the internet that could answer my question… so I bring it the premium forum.
I have an old Just Eat terminal from previous takeaway business, I was wondering if anyone knows whether I can change the OS on this terminal to a windows platform.
I have seen some new Epos systems that use the same machine as Windows, so it can be done. Any “how to” support would be appriciated.

Thanks.

Does it have a MS sticker on the Terminal? If yes, then it should be licensed to run the appropriate version of Windows.

What is the reason for wanting to change the O.S?

I am no expert on the just eat terminals, but arent they android?

As someone who works in epos we get people wanting to put software on old hardware supplied by the cheap box shifting side of our industry and sometimes even the windows ones are so locked down its not worth the effort to do anything with. The android ones were worse, we couldnt even side load anything on. Quite apart from often the hardware is really poor quality.
If you really must go cheap, there are some decent terminals available on ebay for not much money.
