Hi there

I'm wanting to clarify if a couple of my suppliers are credible or not. They are both Ltd companies and have been active for over 3 years now.

Basically they talk a good game but I'm wondering if I can checkout their company accounts and find out the following.

- Turnover
- Profit & Loss

I mainly want to find out if they are telling the truth about the scale of their businesses and therefore if they are credible.

I've tried accessing the annual account reports from Companies House but its not giving me any of the above.

Anyone know how to find this kind of info out?

Kind Regards

On Companies House website...
use WebCHeck to get the company name up.
Click on company number
It will have some details such as their address etc free of charge.
Then click on "Order information on this company'
And then it will have a list of documents you can buy .. they are £1.00 each
You can get previous accounts but of course they are well out of date by the time the accounts are submitted.

duedil usually gives an estimated turnover figure, which seems to be reasonably accurate (perhaps not 100% reliable though). i think duedil gives a good overall picture for free, also check if they are directors of any other companies/shareholders etc past & present.

I wouldn't rely on the estimated turnover shown on Duedil. After seeing the estimated turnover on duedil for my own company I had a look at a number of my client companies and in each case the estimated turnover on Duedil was not even close to the actual turnover.

i did say not 100% reliable :). on the companies i checked where i already know the figures, the turnover estimates were pretty accurate, but that won't always be the case. it's free after all, so i guess you just have to way up if you'd rather pay for more reliable info.
