It's difficult to answer your question, many agencies charge different prices.

You'll always here people tell you, you get what you pay for and that's certainly true.

It would also be beneficial for people to know what CMS or platform you'll be wanting to work with.

For example, I specialise in WordPress and WooCommerce and my prices start at £300 for a full website.

Other businesses may be better suited for you depending on your needs and requirements. It's difficult to give a simple answer with a company and price without knowing your companies full needs in depth.

Do you have an idea of what you'll need? Ecommerce site designed and built? Any custom functionality like accounts integration? Marketplace integration? etc. Your first step should always be to identify what you think you need at least.

I am a freelance developer, with many years experience and personally find it best to offer an hourly rate (or set hour retainer if needed by client). I then try to break down the costs into understandable chunks for the client rather than give ball park figures as these can sometimes be way off target.

Also things like what platform / CMS is used has a huge impact on the time / price, as does custom coding. For example.. Magento is far more complicated and takes much longer to work on than a typical wordpress woocommerce site so be prepared to spend a lot more if going down the Magento route. Its really important to understand what you need from your ecommerce platform BEFORE any work is started as the wrong choice early on can be very costly.
