The answer is yes under Section 167 of the Companies Act 2006.
The form to register a corporate director is AP02 available from the Companies House Website. You can also register a corporate secretary using form AP04.
Having said the above, I am fairly certain that all Companies must have at least one director who is an individual.
From 1 October 2010 ALL UK-registered companies have to have at least one natural director. The exemption from this requirement for companies which were incorporated before 1 October 2008 and which had only corporate directors on 8 November 2006 ends then.
What does this mean?
It depends on the date your company was first registered.
If your company was registered after 8 November 2006, you had a grace period until 1 October 2008 to appoint at least one natural person as a director. If you have not done this, you should act immediately to do so.
If your company was registered before 8 November 2006, you must appoint at least one natural director before the deadline date on the 30 September 2010. Failure to appoint a natural person by this date could lead up to a fine.
Summary:
The new requirement applies to both trading and dormant companies. If you have not already done so, you should appoint a natural director as soon as possible.
