Besides estate agents and Rightmove etc. where would you get started with locating land with the vision of building a warehouse? Specific locality does not matter, other than being within 20 miles of a specific town. E-commerce business, looking for ~one acre.

I'm curious, why do you want to go to the expense of building a warehouse instead of simply renting one or buying an existing one?

Any land you purchase would need planning permission for building a warehouse. If already in place then the land would likely be more expensive, but if not already in place then it may be difficult or even impossible to get the requisite permission.

It is a good idea as stated above to go talk to local business parks or industrial estates. Additionally talk to your local planning office. It is likely that they will have what is called a local plan. This may well have designated areas where they want new industrial/ warehouses etc.
