I have been approached to buy another company.

Has anyone bought another company before, what are the pitfalls what should we look out for - or has it turned out to be a great advantage ?

There is a book by a guy called Mark Blayney on buying businesses. Very readable, highly practical. It will save you an awful lot of time, effort and money.
