Buy & sell website?

Hello, I run a ebay store and use facebook to sell etc. Now as I buy 2nd hand stock so its like I could buy 1 iphone 5, 1 ps3, 1 xbox etc.

what would be the best way to sell me stuff via a ecommerce site as stocks always changing and it could be anything in the store on anyday?

as I no seo takes time and by the time it works that item would of sold elsewhere?

Used items are difficult because they all differ in condition.

The question is, to what extent? And can you grade the items so you could re-use a listing the second time your get an iPhone 5 with the same spec, on the same network, in similar condition.

It becomes less of a problem the more stock you have, as you might start to see opportunities to re-use the listing and therefore the time and effort which went in to it.

You have to seek out the efficiencies. If that means selling fewer items but more of them, then there is one approach. Although you'll need a stronger supply of incoming goods to go in that direction.

now I see why cash converters list products from all stores as the franchise makes sense in that area.

as I havnt got lots of stock at the moment I think its best to stick with ebay and facebook, and focus on getting the shop before the online website.

unless theres an easy way for the site but I cant see it as stock comes an goes to quickly.

You could plug it into Linnworks/another stock system, and have different SKUs for different grades of item? Once an item sells on one marketplace it will update stock across all channels to prevent overselling (not sure how Facebook would plug into this). You could then also sell via Amazon and Play.com (which sell similar items?).

Hey Stanton, that's not a bad idea at all.
as ive read about linnworks and I was going to do it.
when it comes to a ecommerse shop im just not sure how to get people going there instead of other marketplaces, I guess everyone got that problem if they deal in anything and everything?

You can try to convert existing customers from eBay to your new website (try a leaflet etc... you could offer a discount), or pay for Google/Search Engine adverts.

I think I will look into google ads if they are instant that might work, just obviously as I buy single items like a cash converters they don't hang about long. so if google ads is pretty instant it could be worth it.
