I am starting up a company and so I am performing some market research. I would be really grateful if you could fill in my quick survey it is only 5 questions on your first aid so should only take a few minutes. Thank you.
Apologies for the link I am unable to post a link until after 30 posts please change the Dot to a .

The link to the survey is: surveymonkey DOT com/s/HHR582H

Hi I just did your survey and probably didn't help at all.

One think you need to do is to reach out to a broad business community that actually needs ( and can answer ) your research.

I would say, that whilst you might feel it a bit spammy, but you should add at least and optional 'if at some future stage you are interested in finding out more about first aid kits and don't mind me contacting you, please leave your email'

You will get around 1 or 2 per hundred responders that will give you details, and that is really useful when and if you start your business.

I would also say, I have been frequenting UK Business Forums for about 4 years, and the vast majority of regular contributors are micro businesses and as a consequence survey responses here are likely to be swayed towards micro business needs(often in your case N/A )

One way of being able to reach out would be via Linked In. There are Linked In Open Networker (LION) groups where you connect with anyone, that way you can build up loads of connections to survey. Once you have a connection in Linked In you have access to their email address and you can send a polite email - as a fellow member of XXXX LION group I was wondering if you could help me with this, it will only take 2 minutes .... blah blah"

Depends on your target audience - you could for example speak to one of the business support organisations and see how much it would cost to put an ad with a link to the survey in a newsletter or their website.

Also you should always incentivise responses by offering opportunities to win prizes relevant to the audience your targeting.
