Operating as a Company.

You can effectively claim for the marginal cost of the trip I.e the extra costs of the business element which is effectively nil. Maybe the mileage claim between the hotel and meeting place/supplier premises.

As the primary purposes of the trip is holiday you can not apportion the holiday costs. That's why it is normally done the other way round -you have the primary purpose of the trip business e.g attending conference, trade exhibitions etc and then you tag a few extra days on to the trip for private purposes.

You will have to mess around with P11D's if the holiday costs are invoiced to the company.

I intend to incorporate some business meetings and purchase of supplies into a family holiday. Can I assign a portion of the travel and accommodation cost against profit?

Firework is your business operated as a sole trade or via a limited company?
