Business name registration

hi all

I'm in need of some advice on the following , I have registered my business name with company house but I would also like to associate an abbreviated / shortened name with my business too.

For example

Business name "absolutely brilliant cleaning" is the registered name and I would also like to use "ABCleaning"

Do I have to register a seperate company with companies house ? I'm not sure on what to do

You can just use the trading name as long as you mention the limited company name also. There is no register of business names now but you may wish to register your trading name as a trademark to be on the safe side.
