What i had in mind is: A small group of business people who believe that working together in a highly supportive and confidential way, will help each of us solve problems and challenges , and help us build very successful businesses as a result.

I would see us working together so that we are able to share close matters about our companies knowing that, as a result, we will certainly gain from the experience.

Yes I'm afraid that as Mustaka says, you are creating something that already exists. There are already lots of groups like this, most towns have one such as BNI and BoB (Business over Breakfast) etc. Some of them work, some of them are a waste of time and money.

 

The best business networking group in the world is the Masons, whichever way you look at it.

Have to agree there and you don't have to be clever to join.

The masons have become a lot like the SAS (The world's smallest regiment with the largest number of members). The masons are the most secretive organisation in the world, yet everyone in the office is happy to whisper in your ear that he is a member, but don't tell anyone!

These are the same people who buy masonic rings on eBay.

The type of group i am going to start is a Mastermind Group, which is aimed totally and helping each other develop our enterprises.
Making suggestions and overcoming business problems.
Helping each other form strategies to succeed in whatever enterprise we are in
(It's not a referral group)

There is a networking organisation called NABO (pronounced Naybo) that will grow very quickly in 2012, many of these groups will include a mastermind group.

They are looking for group directors to establish groups, it might be worthwhile being involved within this group rather than try to establish one of your own.
