    Hi there,

i've recently signed upto Audible after starting to read regularly a few months ago.

Does anyone recommend any good business / marketing books worth a read? I've actually got a small job to pay the bills whilst I keep my money in the business for now and the job enables me to listen to audio books :D

    Thank you

I learned quite a lot on the customer service side from Tony Hsieh 'Delivering Happiness - a path to profit, passion and purpose'

Having sold a start up to Microsoft for $265million within 3 years of founding it, he became CEO of Zappos, - again from virtually a start up to become a very large online footwear retailer - and sold it to Amazon for $1.2 billion about ten years later

The book covers his earliest business ventures in worm farming and the mistakes by which he learned, but the later part of the book concentrates on the core values of Zappos and how that side of the business became fundamental to its success.

    Thank you :)

I've read Gary Vee's "Crushing it" book, Rich Dad Poor Dad, 4 hour work week. I've heard a nice follow on from the 4 hour work week is MJ Demarco's "the Millionaire Fast Lane". Have you heard much about that one?

I'm using Audible and as it's my first month I get two credits so I need to choose wisely :D

I read a couple of these types of books a long while ago. There is nothing I find more infuriating when time is money and money to be made than having to spend several hours reading a book which could be condensed down to a single page with the takeaway item. Rich Dad Poor Dad, 4 hour Work Week are actually classic examples of this. I'd personally encourage people in general and the OP to spend as much time on their businesses as possible than reading self-improvement business books; they're aimed at the masses who largely don't run businesses and never will. No axe to grind with the authors for what its worth, they are business people too (successful at writing business books) and it'd be difficult to sell a page long book...

I've just noticed that I forgot to cancel my membership so I've got six credits available. If there are any books you want, drop me a PM with your details and I should be able to Gift them to you. Might save you a couple of quid.

    It's a good point

All the best business books are condensed on YouTube into 5 or 10 minute summarries

Which let you take the best bits very efficently and Foc as well!

Just put the titles of the books into YouTube and search

Deep Work is a good book
    One minute manager
    5am club
Rich dad poor dad already mentioned
    Atomic habits

As a side note there are 1000s of self improvement videos on YouTube as well foc

    Good for motivation etc

    Robin Sharma is very good
David goggins for crazy drive and motivation videos

Most of the authors of the big name books have videos on there as well
