Hi all, I'm completely new to forums of any kind but decided to step out of my comfort zone to share with you all my story.

I was introduced to a health & wellness company called Forever Living and it has changed my life, without sounding dramatic, financially and health! At first it all sounded too good to be true-learn the products, love the products, retail a bit and recruit a bit. I retail and recommend a range of aloe Vera and bee pollen based products, we are a 35yr old American company (I'm in the uk) and the worlds leading grower of aloe. We have won government awards-investors in people Gold award and are a champion award company. So I decided to give it my all and see what happens......

My 80yr old nan suffering with osteoarthritis has noticed considerable ease of her joints, she drinks the gel & takes arctic sea.
My jack Russell dog no longer suffers with itchy skin and her hairs grown back on her tummy, she drinks the gel.
My terrible pmt since having my 3rd child has completely gone, I drink the gel and take multi-maca tablets.

I was completely blown away by our results I started to talk, I now mentor and support a strong team of 16 people that all individually are growing their own businesses. One of these people is a professional sports coach as 7 of our products are HFL sports science approved (anti doping).

Your income opportunity is uncapped, you are rewarded time and time again by the company- bonus, car plan, world travel. You could purely retail and earn £200-£400pcm or take that step (that came very natural to me) and be a team builder earning £2000-£15000pcm and more.

Please get in contact to discuss anything xx

I'm not spamming or selling anything to you guys. I'm here to tell a bit more about what it is I'm doing and if anyone has any interest or questions to ask.

I'm a genuine person, engaged mum of 3 and 2 dogs. Own a hairdressing salon and have actually come across a business that is earning us brilliant money in my spare time xx

You've lost me. What questions are you expecting us to ask other then ones about your business and wanting to buy this miracle cure for everything from you?

All sounds a bit suspicious to me.

I'm completely new to forums and thought it was a place for conversation starters. In the real world people absolutely love the products and business and that alone is a huge conversation starter so thought I'd share it with the cyberworld. Why so much suspicion? Or am I just being naive xx

Perhaps being naive in the sense that, the internet is a form of media, and so forums like these receive a hell of a lot of spam (junk adverts a bit like junk mail in case you didn't know).

Your post seems very very similar to these, so my apologies for being suspicious and well done if it's helped you so much financially and physically.

But, I'm going to stay suspicious purely on the grounds that it's way to easy to lie when sat behind a screen. Proof of how good the product is has much more weight then stating how it has helped you in the past, since I don't know you.

While there is scientific evidence indicating some of the chemicals in honey extend lifespan by reducing illness this hasnt been investigated using human beings. Claiming health benefits before such testing could get you into a lot of trouble.

Your text also sounds like you're trying to sell a sales position. If the products sold themselves there would be no need for that now would there?

You are either being naive or cynical.

This is a business forum, so not really the best place for discussion on the health benefits of Aloe Vera (you will find lots of scope for that elsewhere on the web)

On the other hand, if you are looking to push your MLM - then try that. Be ready for the reaction!

If you own a hairdressing salon, why not engage with this business forum by giving the real benefit of your experience to those asking questions about related businesses?

I became a registered distributor in my own right 4 months ago. There is no joining fee at all and no subscriptions of any kind.
You can learn the products and start advertising today and a minimum order of £100 activates you as a distributor. Or you can purchase a bigger selection of products and literature and -15% to kick start it. It's a personal choice how you start.

The products have gained recognition and are used by professional sports people, as well as longleat safari (random but true).

I am just so determined to share my experience of the products and business maybe forums like this isn't the best way because like you said I've just appeared and you have no idea who I am. Please feel free to message me for my Facebook or website to see I'm real:)

I would add that I am familiar with both the product and the 'opportunity'

The product is unproven (scientifically) but is widely acknowledged to have health benefits, though your variant is far more expensive than others which are readilly available (I also knpw the arguments given for that)

The route to market (MLM) is highly contentious and your company are some of the most aggressive marketers of add-on costs that I know

Personally I detest MLM, not because it is inherently bad, but because nearly all of those who offer it on here are effectively mis-selling it and show little or no interest in being forum members - just to push their scheme.

there. I've said it:redface:

You are not selling your experience, you are doing the spam advertising for the company.

Tell us about yourself and your experience rather than the scripted OMG this is ambrosia and cures all illness and cancer... BTW you can earn £1000 a day by selling this product.

why not do http://www.wikaniko.com/index.php as they are cheaper than this company no?

having to keep customers and not let them get poached seems like a lot of hard work to me.

Being a salon owner I am inundated with companies wanting me to promote and retail their products, I never had the time nor the passion to want to do it.

One of my hair clients was doing a detox and I asked her what it was, she told me and I contacting the company myself to become a distributor as her results were really good (and no she wasn't being paid to promote it). At first that is all I was interested in, I thought I didn't have time to possible do anymore.

I read all the literature that came in my pack and the testimonial book written by a Doctor when I came across osteoarthritis. To anyone that watches a loved one live with this is heart breaking, I bought the products recommended for my nan (and no they weren't over priced, and yes I compared with a high st health food store and they were of better quality and strength). She will never be cured but she no longer has the immense pain she had 4 months ago and her doctor is hugely impressed.

I just don't understand when someone says its a pyramid/scam. You have full support and no initial outlay other than to buy the products you need (1st order), you recommend products that people buy month in month out and the company pay you an added bonus. The products are of highest quality and have a money bk guarantee. I've never experienced any pressure nor would I ever put pressure on anyone looking at the products and business.

Yes the products sell themselves but people need to hear about them first (that's to a previous comment).

I have made a really good second income and my family are gaining the fiancial benefit and my customers are gaining good health. I genuinely just thought I would let people know and offer advice if anyone wants to know more. I'll defend this company and its products till I'm blue in the face as I know it works xx

I bought some cheap Aloe Vera hand cream in Spain one euro, very good it was too so don't quite see the point of paying loads more for a branded product.

Claire would you put that cream in a newborns mouth for teething, down your throat for a sore throat, up your bum for piles, in your pets eyes? No you wouldn't because its cream with a drop of aloe or contains the outer leaf and roots. Forever living only use the pure inner leaf gel and is the only company you can use it internally xx

If it's so good, why is it the only company doing it? Why does it need to run an MLM scheme to sell?

Good products sell themselves. This has so much marketing and PR dribble wrapped around it, it hides the fact it's not actually medically proven to help. It's all just word of mouth... which in most cases isn't a bad thing... but considering (as i started before) we have no idea who you are, word of mouth from strangers does the complete opposite effect.

The company owner Rex Maughan was a millionaire before he even started this business. He owns 80% of the worlds population of aloe and patented his natural stabilising process, hence being the only ones.
He will never sell in shops but only through distributors to give back and make others wealthy instead of bricks and mortar.

Word of mouth and real stories is what sell repeat products. I've invited people to inbox me for my website details.

I didn't come here to be proven right or wrong I just thought people might like to know there is a fantastic opportunity out there for each and everyone of you. My proof is in my happy repeat customers, my family & friends health and my company bonus pay that has gone into the bank.

I've been in talks with lovely people on the South Africa forums. Think ill focus my attention on people that know me personally and people abroad.

Thank you all for you comments and input xx

It might help this discussion if the OP and the people replying could accept that there are very great differences in peoples' experience with MLM/Aloe Vera/Forever Living and, for that matter, every other product or marketing method ever invented and every other company that has ever existed.

To paraphrase my own personal hero, "You can please some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time. But you can't please all of the people all of the time."

There's no doubt that MLM has been responsible for lots of people making lots of money. There's also no doubt that lots of people have started off with huge enthusiasm (because that's what the promotion of MLM scheme's are designed to generate), perhaps made a few sales, then run out of friends/family/neighbours who they can sell to and come a cropper when they try to sell to strangers. And those people (and the other people they talk to) often end up saying that MLM is a scam or that a particular company or particular product are no good. But as with most things in life, the real truth is somewhere between the two extremes.

Forever Living has been around a long time and it would be naive to suggest that there are no benefits in their products that (some people) are prepared to pay a premium for. They would't exist if they weren't making money for someone.

If the original poster is genuine, and I can't see any reason to disbelieve her other than blind prejudice, then surely we should wish her well and not try to dent her enthusiasm or slag off what she believes from her personal experience to be a good thing?

Having lived and worked in the US as well as the UK I can testify to the different way that sales companies and people are regarded on each side of the pond. In the US, people are proud to say that they're in sales because most people realise that without "sales" there can be no wealth-creation. But in the UK, people are usually ashamed or embarrassed to admit they're in sales. They call themselves by all sorts of other titles. And surely that's because there's a predominant attitude in Britain that selling is somehow a "con" and that anyone who works in sales is somehow dishonest. SHAME ON US!!!!
