I am a sole trader with a Paypal account in my name. This Paypal account has two cards in it, one in my name and one in my father's. My father is not connected to the business.

I have today made a purchase that qualifies as a business expense, however, I mistakenly used my father's card for the payment.

The Paypal tax invoice lists only my name and billing address.

Am I allowed to utilise this Paypal invoice as proof of a business expense?

I dont see any issue with this at all.

Effectively your Father has lent you/your business the amount paid and that's how I'd record it in your records, and then when you repay him you show that as a loan repayment.
