Hello to everyone at UKBF in the North West! Thought it was about time that I introduced myself.

I’m in the process of setting up a business development consultancy based in Manchester.

The service that I offer my clients is flexible and multi-faceted with the primary function being to generate new customers and open up new revenue streams and markets. This can incorporate any and all aspects of the sales process, including strategy and planning, lead generation and appointment setting, face to face and telephone-based sales, support on the exhibition stand or in the boardroom, and fundamentally, bringing in new accounts and closing deals.

This is not telemarketing. This is professional business development - Clients only pay for the business that I generate: No upfront costs and no excuses.

I have many years experience spearheading sales and business growth spanning a broad range of industry sectors, both in the UK and internationally. So, whether you're an established company looking to consolidate and grow, or a fledgling start-up trying to get off the ground, I would be delighted to hear from you.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this post and welcome any questions or feedback.

Best regards to all,

John Niven.

P.S. here’s a freebie some of you might find useful:

If you’re not having much luck getting through to a key decision maker, try calling your target before 9am or after 6pm. Company directors are often the first to arrive and the last to leave the office each day and will invariably pick up the phone if no one else is there, plus, they will be more inclined to speak (and listen) to you if they're not snowed under with meetings and the distractions of a busy office. Give it a try!;)

Just thought id give you my two cents on this. I've often spoken with owners/ managers of small to medium size business that have grown through word of mouth and have access to huge amounts of data from previous customers or existing customers who could buy more. often these companies wont have a specific sales team to follow up on all this information and noone willing/ able to take time away from other duties to give it a go. This sounds like a good idea and i'd love to know how you get on...
