Business customer changed his mind

Can anyone offer some advice. Following a series of conversations and emails, a customer bought a projector from us. Because they had purchased something else from us a few weeks prior, I gave them credit, which they committed to pay. 4 weeks later, now they have asked if they can have a refund as they have "changed their mind" and have stated that they have not used it at all.

I need to check whether they have in fact paid and I need to check whether the box has been opened and cables have been unwrapped, etc all of which would make my response easier, however can anyone advise what mine/their legal rights are? As far as goodwill and possible future sales, I don't think there's much there and I think they are being a bit cheeky!

Advice appreciated and thanks in advance!
