    Hi guys,

I have a small IT support business and i'm looking at buying some more clothing. (i've always had business branded polo t-shirts/jumpers).

I often wear hoodies in my downtime and i'm thinking of getting some hoodies printed with my business logo on for evening/weekend wear. The thoughts behind it is I may as as well advertise my own business over the weekend rather than a huge clothing brand.

Just after thoughts mainly as I feel an IT support comany on a hoody may not look right? (the whole hoody/IT industry sort of thing).

I did IT recruitment for 26 years - i think i have 3 or 4 hoodies with old clients brands on and a couple of rugby shirts. So def not a weird idea.

You just need to choose a colour that matches with your logo/brand.

Also if you are after someone to print/embroider I know for our rugby club tours over the last 5 or 6 years i used this lot - https://justhoodsbyawdis.com/ except i know them as ethicstar which was their old name. From memory getting under 80 with an embroidered logo on breast and individual name print on back was about £15 per hoodie plus about £30 for setting up the logo and a delivery charge. Not the quickest (be prepared to chase them) but you can choose heavier weight material etc if you are getting for yourself rather than for giveaways

I know of an accountant who does branded hoodies - it's a great differentiator.

I have branded polo shirts & sweat-shirts & did pick up business in my local Post Office by wearing them.

Socks are quite popular exhibition give-aways. No idea why, but if it works, it works..

Socks might be good to give away with all repairs over a certain amount during the Christmas period :D

Historically IT seemed to go for a smarter / formal look, but we've produced loads of polos now many companies have a relaxed attitude to workwear, they always look smart, you don't need to iron and can be printed instead of embroidered for short runs! Hoodies are becoming common too! You can print for short run, they have a massive range now to closer match corporate colours and I've had no feedback to say they have felt out of place, more over it's generated us more business when asked where they get them from !
    Hope this helps!

(Not sure if you have seen some of the podcasts or UKBF interviews, but a number of the team can be seen in hoodies, I think even Richard wears one when talking to Steve Bartlet)

Look forward to hearing from you.

Just Hoods is a brand, not a supplier - a collaboration between 3 of the main 'garments for decoration' wholesalers. A good all rounder product with plenty of colourways.

I wouldn't expect too much promotional benefit from adding your brand name to a garment but it can work to encourage conversations down the pub etc.,

I look like a serial killer in a woollen beanie hat, a teacher trying to look trendy in a Hoody and under dressed in a t-shirt. Personal choice is everything and smart casual Polo's would be my recommendation.
