Business Bank Accounts

Hi,
Just wondering if there are any totally free Business Bank accounts?

I have looked around and a lot of them are free for the first year or two but then start charging.

Any recommendations?

I don't know how true the information is but apparently Santendar offer a business account that is fee free for life, however you don't get a business manager or any help or support from what reviews I have heard.

Alliance-Leicester moved to Santander so while my account is free, it's only free if you not only keep a certain amount in it (I think) but you need a certain level of transaction/month (I'm sure).

We've had the free account with Santander (formerly A&L) for years with no problems - until a slight hiccough today. If you don't need anything complicated, just day to day banking it can't be beaten and is very easy to operate. And totally free.

I just logged into my account and all the balances were showing at zero! I rang them up and they confessed to some kind of system failure and were able to tell me my balances over the phone but it was a shocking moment!

don't think theirs a minimum level to qualify for free, at least I hope not as I've just opened an account and won't have any money going in for a while.

Santander offer it but they're an awful bank, I've been with RBS/Natwest and they're much better.

I'm with RBS Business Banking which is free apart from paying in cash which I get round.

However, I believe we are being shunted by RBS over to Santander at some point..........

I have been with Santander since 2006 and have not experienced any problems.

I have a Business Account and a Business Reward Account. You can move money freely between accounts, pay external bills, deposit money (notes only - no coins), deposit cheques, etc. but all must be done on-line/at cash machine. You do not get assistance in the Branch - unless the cash machine has broken down.

Oh - and yes it is totally free!!

What he said. And you get a £25 annual loyalty reward, too.

But it has an ethical polic, and isn't available to some businesses.
