BT Cloud phone problems...

Hello,

Has anyone else been experiencing problems with BT Cloud?

I was told by a BT representative that VOIP lines are closing and we will just lose service unless we transfer to the cloud service. The rep continued to tell me that the cloud phone had better features than a standard VOIP, enabling all staff members to have calls sent to their mobiles and being able to make calls from mobiles with the business caller ID, which was a great selling feature for me. Reasonable value at £21 per month I thought.

What the caller did not tell me was that for each mobile phone you want to use these great features on you have to purchase the cloud app at £21 per month... Another thing that was omitted was that unlike a VOIP line not all calls are free so the app bars you from certain numbers which you can unlock... ie: agreeing to the additional costs. Annoying but I should have really done the research I guess. But, and here's my real problem, it just does not work! So many of our regular customers (after calling my mobile) now say that they could not get through on the office number because it is always engaged.

It is completely random, some calls will come through but nowhere near the number we used to receive. I have tried (and ask everyone I meet to try) from mobiles and landlines and for the best part get either the engaged tone or a message saying that 'All lines are busy please call again later'. We have had many calls to BT who tell us that there is no problem their end and we should log the numbers, time and location of the people that cannot get through so than can investigate. Now I spend money on advertising to encourage new business how do I know who is calling and then moving on to my competitors because they cannot get through??

BT have now 'reset' the app twice but the problems continue. I believe the Cloud service is not fit for purpose but BT are not listening and keep dodging the ball by asking us to make logs whilst I am paying for a service that is, I believe, losing my company important business.

So, has anyone else been experiencing problems with BT Cloud?

Dan.
