Hi,

I am looking for a book on e-commerce but thought I would ask here 1st.

When I had a quick peep at a few in WHSmiths they all seemed like they was going to be very boring and hardwork to read....

I don't really want a manual but I do want to learn the do's and don'ts and a few secrets with maybe a story....

Any suggestions:|

Thanks

eCommerce you can write a book on but its only as good as writing a book on Cars - tell me what sort of ecommerce/business you are looking into to and that will make things clearer.

Its easier to help out with a Ford rather than just car, just as its easier to help if your looking to sell X Y or Z with ecommerce.

Hi Sean,

Thank you for your reply.

I have just finished reading:
From Concept to Consumer: How to Turn Ideas into Money
by Phil Baker

So was really looking for another book to have on the go.

I don't know anything about ecommerce so I thought I would gain a little knowledge....

I think the best education I can gain regarding ecommerce is hanging out on this forum....

I am not particularly interested in 1 type of ecommerce system just the whole basic concept.

Hi Dave

Not a book recommendation I'm afraid, but you might find the 30 day challange useful. Although it started on 1st August, there's no reason why you can't start late (I think all the videos will still be in place after the end of August)

Its a collection of videos and tasks aimed at making you $1 after 30 days. As a reletaive newbie to e commerce, I've found a lot of it very interesting - for example, yesterday & today I've watched 4 you tube videos a day (each about 10 mins long) explaining adwords, from the basics upwards. Its free, no obligation (although, at times there is some 'hard sell' on a couple of packages) and proving to be a useful hour spent each evening. Have a look at the website here:
