The Secret History of the Blitz by Joshua Levine

Clicked by accident but decided I'd give it a shot. Turned out to be an interesting account of the war years that was full of surprises.

The Operators: The Wild and Terrifying Inside Story of America's War in Afghanistan
Michael Hastings

Recently made into a film on netflix with Bradd Pitt which is terrible and nothing like the book.

Copied from a previous post I made on another thread...

    :D

started to read the Karma Sutra last week...

got to page 4, threw my back out, put the book down... considered not holding the book while practicing... left it till this week,

    :D :D

Picked the book up again last night... was a bloody good read I can tell ye!

Till I got to page 47 snapped a finger, broke a toe and I'm sure I've cracked a rib...

Still, no pain no gain! Always a positive to a negative :D

    Page 88 looks well mint!

    hi,

When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi

The Book in Three Sentences: The memoir of Paul Kalanithi, a neurosurgeon at Stanford University, who is diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in his mid-thirties. Kalanithi uses the pages in this book to not only tell his story, but also share his ideas on how to approach death with grace and what it means to be fully alive.

looking for something good to read on my kindle but I don't want the boring business text books. I had a great time reading Ducan bannatyne Bio. what's your favourite?

If you like Sci-Fi and you’re a fan of dire material, you should absolutely read Dmitry Glukhovsky’s novels Metro 2033 | Metro 2034 | Metro 2035.

I also like the Patriots: A Novel of Survival in the Coming Collapse by James Wesley Rawles.

There’s just something so appealing to me in almost all post-apocalyptic fiction.
