Can anyone help with a Blog?
I have managed to make one - but don't quite know what to do with it now and how I get people to see it !!

1. Start off by adding your blog link as your signature link on this forum.
2. Add a signature to your outgoing email.
3. List your site on Portals, Blog Indexes, Directories (and search engines such as Yahoo!, Google, Bing).
4. You can also go futher by putting your URL on business cards, letterhead, using press releases and other assorted methods.

TIP: Never promote an unfinished website.

First off what platform are you using? Blogger, Wordpress or Wordpress.com??

You can start with commenting on other blogs in your niche. Commenting on the webpages having PageRank more than 5 definitely increases the number of visitor.[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]

The only other advice I would add is to make sure that the blog content is interesting and informative so that you attract and keep visitors. You also need to be disciplined in keeping the blog updated on a frequent basis or people will stop visiting again.

You can do your blog SEO for get traffic.

keep your blog up to date. then google will rank it better. link to other sites etc, usual SEO.

Blogger should make this easy for you as its google's product.

Write useful content. Also, you can make a small contest (let's say £20 via paypal) and ask your readers to share their opinion on a post(your best post). Then tell them that in order to be admitted, all they have to do is subscribe via e-mail to your RSS and place your link in their post.

How will people know you have a contest?Simple, just google "contest blogs". You will find quite a few blogs that all they do is post contests that are taking place on other blogs.Of course, submit your for free. With that, I will recommend using Aweber, so that the people that subscribe to your blog, would be on your newsletter also.

That's one technique almost free. (it can be completely free if you have a certain talent - like designing banners or logos; you can then offer a logo or a banner instead of money)
