Hi,

I posted on this a month or so ago, but didn't get very far.

Does anybody know how to register with Bing Places in the UK (Local Business Listing)?

I understand that it is outsourced to 2 or 3 firms, all of which want your advertising commitment, not a free local map advert.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, please excuse me if this seems repetitive after my original post,

Chris

I also contacted the 118 and have to say im still not listed.

All bing do is sub this sort of stuff out to companies whose only real intent is to make money out of you one way or another.

Comes to something when all these free listings actually are no longer free.

Lets hope bing crashes and burns :)

Hello All,

If you want to put a listing on Bing! (or 118118, 118500, BT Phonebook, Localsearch24, Localmole & quite a few others, 250 in all) then you can indeed go to 118 Information's website and then answer their questions when they call you back, which is usually about 2 days later, and is to verify this is all correct.

They provide the service to you, the business, for free - and yes they do charge the websites for your information (this has to be paid for somehow). You really do get a free listing with all of the directories that 118 Information distribute to, some take longer than others to update what they send.

118 Information themselves are NOT selling you anything, and if you don't want to answer the calls then don't - you can of course just update all 250 directories yourself.
