Best Value Press Release Distribution and PR/Journalist Contact/Database Services

Hi there,

I wonder if anyone here has had experience of press release services and/or PR/journalist contact or journalist database services.

I've tried a few of these and they've been disappointing, to say the least. There are quite a few and they all offer services from totally free to costing hundreds. I've tried some of the less expensive ones and while some have produced good results, others don't move the needle at all.

So can anyone recommend a service which doesn't cost a lot but delivers a reasonable result?

(Perhaps I should mention that I'm not looking for press release writers because I write these myself - it's just the distribution service that is eluding ne at the moment.)

You are asking for two different things here . 1) media database 2) PR distribution service
PR Max is a cost effective media database that you can use to research and create media lists and then distribute your news release from. I don't use PR distribution services.

Yes, I know that press release distribution and a journalist database are two different things. I was including both because both could be useful in order to achieve much the same ends. You don't supply a link in your post but I'm assuming that it's the same prmax.co.uk that I'm looking at now. It certainly looks useful.
