Best shipping extension for Magento

Hello again,

I'm in need of an extension that lets me automate the process of customer location detection and overwrite shipping rates set by shipping providers.

Am lost in the woods so to say, as there're a number of modules to choose from.. Any recommendations,guys?

Why not list the ones you have looked at, you must be the one who posted it over at the other site. It sounds like you need enterprise functionality that rolls the import duties and shipping in to the pricing in realtime based on geo location?

The module is capable of overwriting shipping rates set by such shipping provider as UPS, DHL, FedEx or any other local provider you use. With this Magento extension you can automatically detect customer's location (using MaxMind technology) and adjust shipping accordingly.

Also, with Shipping Suite Magento Extension you can add your own new shipping method and easily configure it to suite your business needs.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

Also, have you guys tested Shipping Per Product from CMS Ideas? As I understand, the extension helps you to set individual flat shipping rate for each product (that's what I need) but doesn't automatically detect the location an order is placed from.

Also, what do you think of a Store Pickup option from Magestore? This module seems to be one of the most popular shipping solutions on Magento Commerce and can work fine for small businesses like mine (but I believe it is useless for bigger businesses that deliver to different locations).

I have one rule: never use extensions from magestore and aitoc (although it was acquired and hopefully they will fix all their issues).
As for shipping, webshopapps have many solutions for shipping. If you need all-in-one basic solution, the shipping suite from mageworx will be best.
