Best Sales Reference Book You Have Read

As the title suggests.

What is your 'sales' bible and it's title?

Just finished The Ultimate Sales Tool Kit (Skip Miller) and found it interesting without substance.

What have you fellow SE guys and gals read that you found useful.

Selling to win by Richard Denny read it many many years ago, but I would say it is as relevant as ever if you are in sales.

Make it 'Old WISE welsh guy' - 'Selling to Win' by Richard Denny is the perfect book, it gives you the flawless tools and tips to make the most of your selling situation. Read it; apply the models to your industry/product and make the structure your own.

you will not need any other selling books.

Frankly, there is no such thing as a 'best sales reference book'. Its like gardening or sailing ..there are so many aspects to sales that anyone serious on the sbject needs a selection of views expressed across a range of publications.

Most, sadly, do not even read the sales books they buy. Sales books remain probably the most unopened books sold by Amazon.

My tip for small businesses on here would be 'Cold Calling for Chickens'.

Even a chicken could read and learn from it in a couple of days and make money from the advice picked up within this slim publication.:)

OWG thanks for the tip.

Read it and re-read it, fabulous book and has changed some 'major' flaws that were evident in my performance prior to reading this.

Thanks again

Cold calling for chickens isn't out on Kindle yet so looks like I am waiting. However I can add weight to the Richard Denny book, I was racking my brain coming into the thread trying to remember it and there it was in the recommendations.

I was a rookie in the field and in sales when I picked it up so needed all the help I could get, about as good a book as I have read on sales or any informative subject...
