Hi everyone,
I have a client who's looking for a CRM system. They work on Macs and need something which doesn't have to be cloud based as they're very rural and have periodic issues with internet connectively. They sell directly online as well as to trade outlets. I wondered if anyone was aware of a good system they might look at?
Thanks

Do they have a server in their office?

If you have some technical skills then this would be the most flexible pathway. I agree with this. The principle is right! You can run your own local web server on a MAC very easily. Then you can download and install any of the many options of open source or other community based CRM projects. This will tend to give you far more functionality and a more 'enterprise grade' CRM capability.

It will, for example, take CRM from being a simple list of contacts with basic tasks or to-do's into an enabled business workflow for segmenting contacts and companies, making leads against them then maturing those leads into opportunities, eMail campaigning preparation, quotations, proposal handling and in many cases even adding your own products and services to make preparing invoices a breeze.

Do a Google Search for AMPPS as it is a complete web hosting stack that you can install on a MAC. It does everything you need to then download and run a beautifully functional CRM from any of the available vendors that support that basic mix of Apache/PHP/Mysql.

The downside of this option is you need some technical skills - but the results will be equivalent to a hosted cloud based CRM all from the convenience of your LOCALHOST
