Hi everyone,

I'm interested in getting some crm software running, mainly for my sales pipeline and would like some advice on what others here are using, free or cheap would be good! Also if I could access it via my iphone even better!

Or, are there other solutions to manage a pipeline?

I have recently (within the last 6 months) started using Saleforce.com, it is easy to use not massively expensive, and integrates well with other products.

I would highly recommend it, it has organised my work processes and increased my sales.

Hi there,

I have heard a lot of good things about salesforce, I have a few clients using that too and the feedback has been very positive.

We supply Microsoft CRM as a hosted service, is around £40/month/user.
I also use it to manage my sales activities and to get an overall picture of the pipeline.

It seems that the most cost effective way to adopt CRM thesedays is to look at a hosted platform, it negates the need for hardware on which to run the system, and you get guaranteed 99% uptime (depending on SLAs). Added to that, at least in the Microsoft case, the £40 fee per month per user also includes support. The best part is installation on a hosted platform can be considerably less than installing and setting up an on premise solution.

Microsoft also integrates with the iPhone, although to be frank none of our clients have requested that yet, but it is certainly possible.

let me know if you want any information.

All the best with your search

I wouldn't discount SugarCRM, we use it all the time and it's really, very powerful, and it has a mobile edition.

I am still using parchment and quill pen. It has never crashed on me ever, it needs no backing up, requires minimal training to operate and by golly the ROI is fantastic :D Bit of a nuisance getting a fresh tail feather out of the goose though, because the b*gger hasn't slowed down with age whereas I have :p

remind it that Christmas is coming and negotiate a solution :D

Hello

Quite a few of my customers have compared ACT!, MS Dynamics, Salesforce.com, Oracle/Siebel, Sugar CRM and others.
Pretty much every time they go with Salesforce.com for a number of reasons:
- very easy to use
- integrates easily with other systems
- no hassle, cloud based (proper cloud, not the "false" cloud!)
- cost effective
- truly scalable, grows with your business

cheers

We have used all the 37 Signals products since we set up the business and they have been fantastic. All of them have decent API's in case you need to integrate with other software in the business, or your website.

They have...

Highrise - this is the CRM
Basecamp - this is a project management tool
Backpack - we use this as our company intranet

You can just sign up for one of, or a combination of the products. I think Highrise works out at about £30 a month.

The company 37 Signals are fantastic though - their work ethic and approach to business is great.

Well worth checking out!
