Have a holiday booked and its always a good time to read a book. Typically I have always read the Duncan Banantyne/richard branson books but feel there is better out there.

I have read good reviews about the "4 hour work week"...

Any others you recommend?

Debora Meadens was one of the best Dragons books, think it was called common sense rules.

I have read Rich dad poor dad too which i liked purely because it created a good talking point. I mean, the one real thing he is famous for is saying "your house is not an asset"

In a way its true because it's only really an asset on the banks balance sheet and a liability on yours. Me personally, it's an asset.......in 20 years time!

Yep, in a nutshell its about using virtual assistants to outsource everything and checking your emails once a day. There! Saved you hours of reading! :)

For purely business the best for me has to be this one I bought the book and ended up paying more for mentoring.

For pure entertainment, true entreprenurial, not a pot to pi$$ in, rags to riches, no rich mummy and daddy then this one.

I normally prefer business biographies to the "how to" type business books. But an exception to this is The E-Myth Revisited which I've just finished - well worth a read.

As for the biographies, I can recommend Deborah Meaden, Theo Paphitis, Jim Treliving (a Canadian dragon), James Caan, Bread (story of Greggs), Gregg Wallace, Hilary Devey.

Second vote for The E-Myth Revisited. Best business book in terms of small business overview.
But depends on what you want to read about.
The Sticking Point Solution is great for sales as is The Ultimate Sales Machine
No BS Time Time Management is great for managing yourself during the day
Delivering Happiness is brilliant for customer service
Powerful marketing on a shoestring is great by Dee Blick for marketing
The Lean Start Up for building businesses
And 7 strategies for wealth and happiness by Jim Rohn also fantastic
As if his audio CD The Challenge to Succeed

I would suggest Napoleon Hill "Think and Grow Rich" I know its might not be book that is only business orientated but it will give you some ideas what is best for you. as far as 4 hour work week. its good book about time saving and outsourcing.
one more i would recommend is Psycho cybernetics .. these books change the way i approach business

Both of Felix Dennis's books are great.
The moneyman ebook will be out soon! You have been warned!
On ebay and amazon trading any old book will do but wont work as well as being members of the specialist forums. the rules change so quickly things get out of date.

Simon Toyne and the Sanctus trilogy, awesome reads, totally totally awesome. Each book was bought for a holiday read and despite the length I completed each one on the holiday. I actually used to look forward to being at rest so I could read. Really fab, Dan Brown eat yer heart out!

EDIT: oopse just noticed this was meant to be best business book ever read.

I would never read a business book on holiday ... not much of a holiday if my mind is still on work! Meanwhile few books everyone should read inside business and out:

'How to win friends and influence people' Dale Carnegie and there's a book by a car salesman, best car salesman ever (can't recall title now) which is great re tips on selling and building an empire. And of course the Ten Day MBA, Words that Sell etc.

Forget the titles but the book Julian Richer wrote (Richer Sounds MD) is very good. The autobiography by Sam Walton (Walmart) is a great business history read.

You really think Sam is relevant to the average wannabie

In 1945, after leaving the military, Walton took over management of his first variety store at the age of 26. With the help of a $20,000 loan from his father-in-law,

260 thousand bucks is a nice little starter for 10.:D

How comes every billionaire waited on tables.;):p

Agree, but it's still a very good read for anybody interested in business history.
