Best Accounts Package at present?

Im getting a lot of mixed feedback from the "professionals" regarding which is the best accounts package for a small business.
So far the list advised has been
Xero
Kashflow
Sage one
Quickbooks

My accountant uses Sage L50 however it doesn't integrate well with my software and I also find it very old fashioned and long winded.

Does anyone have any recommendations who have used any of the above? Looking at the packages i would have to go for the medium packages as the basic ones limit on the number of invoices that can be sent etc.

Also many have mentioned Bank Integration, are there any concerns re safety re these?

Thanks

There are reviews of my personal favourites here, broadly in order of complexity of your business:

FreeAgent: particularly good for freelancers and small business: https://aiteoconsulting.co.uk/freeagent-cloud-accounting-review/

Reckon: good for smaller businesses - simple but flexible add-ons within the platform: https://aiteoconsulting.co.uk/reckon-one-cloud-accounting/

Xero: end users like Xero a lot - good for slightly larger small businesses: https://aiteoconsulting.co.uk/xero-beautiful-cloud-accounting/

Quickbooks: my personal favourite:

The Reckon review is a little out of date as the platform does now have bank feeds. I don't personally have any concerns about the security of live bank feeds.

we are thinking of moving 100% to sage due to the upper coming MTD as we think they are a proven software and are uk based.

Sage can do pretty much the same as xero and all the other applications available you just need to do some research. I personally don't find sage any more difficult to use than any other offering on the market it is just a matter of preference.

Best is what suits the user - what is best for one business is not always best for another.

Personally I'd add Accounts Portal to the list too but you dont say exactly what integration you need.

Yes is very subjective.

Perhaps if you mention what features are important we could give some better direction.

Some Accountnants only recommend a certain solution as it's easier to support one package. I support 2/3 for different types of businesses.

For me Line 50 has been a great work horse but I would not buy it now as the on line packages offer more now.

If you like Sage look at their on line stuff.

For me the bank feeds are the key thing as that is big time saver and some work better than offers. If you add on entryless or receipt bank to the core product you have a good piece of kit that should work well.

The big drawback with the cloud software though is that what you gain in ease of access you lose in speed of entry if you are a transaction heavy business data entry can be a lot slower than the desktop equivalent.
