COULD ANYONE OFFER ADVICE PLEASE.
I have recently found new business premises, there is a problem with electricity supply, the previous tenant did not pay electricity bills so BES removed the meter in 2018.
BES have control of the MPAN on the national database, I would rather not deal with BES at all but have had to fill in change of tenancy form and proof of lease. Have spoken to them on several occasions to get the meter and supply reinstated, I have been told 48 hours to get meter in and sorted, then 14 days to get meter in and sorted, then 14 days plus 10 days to get meter sorted and re-energised, they seem to be holding back and not sticking to the same script.
They have now said they need confirmation from Landlord, they have his phone number and said that they had called but no answer so they sent an e-mail, which is a blatant lie as they do not have his e-mail address and no-one in his office has had a call from BES.
I have a supplier for current premises and would use them for new premises but it seems neither them or anyone else can put a meter in / connect supply because of BES.
We have asked that BES remove themselves as supplier for the MPAN from the national database.
They are refusing to do this until they see fit to put a meter in the property (at their leisure, it would seem), has anyone had this problem and been able to resolve it? HELP !!!
