Hello. This is a somewhat belated introduction as I joined the forum a few years ago but have been pretty inactive to be honest.
Anyway I saw the invite to introduce myself so to right a wrong from some time ago here it is.
I have a small Limited Company in a pretty niche marketplace. I undertake remedial works to visual or Architectural concrete. Essentially this means adjusting the visual quality of concrete that is designed to be seen rather than hidden. I suppose a comparison might be that of a French polisher but for concrete.
I work on medium to large scale projects mostly throughout the UK but have also worked in Europe and the Middle East. I have worked on significant Civil Engineering projects as well as many larger and mid scale university projects and have a very solid set of contacts in the Architecture, Construction and Engineering sectors.
My background is Fine Art Sculpture and I never intended ending up in the Construction Industry but here I am.
I run an active CPD service for architects, clients etc, write articles for industry magazines and generally keep my company equally balanced with the physical activity as well as the education side of visual concrete production.
