whats with this company? I am getting probably average of 4 emails a week from them touting customer enquiries within 25 radius of me even though I have never registered with them. Actually, although vaguely related to what I do its not work that I want. But just interested if anyone is getting any work from these leads and whether the leads are genuine...

Hi Matt

Am getting a couple of free leads from them from time to time. I'm a small bus so only really receiving small jobs.

Bark MAY have set up an account for you despite you not asking for one. Within the account would be trade alerts. Have a look to change the alerts or delete the account as you feel.

After a while, they will ask you to pay a fee but it won't be for the leads they've already given you. I have never paid so they left me alone for a while, then approached me again.

Customers seem to be ok - unlike the bigger 'matching' co's such as rated people, mine were quite happy to pay up when the jobs done (even got a tip off one this week!).

Seems to be a new sort of rated people etc

I can understand why they would give stuff away for free, if they don't have enough people paying them the money each month but have users requesting quotes then they'll not be able to help people.

Just had a look on there site and i am on there, but they have the old address and old company name so i guess they have bought data somewhere and mass uploaded it.

It must be very old data they have, as they have me down as a builder. I haven't built anything for over 5 years.

Bark were offering Free and paid membership with free leads, then they changed, so that in our field, gardening, to respond to a lead cost £4, and now they have reduced it to £1

Tried them but didn't get any jobs. I paid about £30 for the first month.They do a money back guarantee, and to be fair they did refund me.

Has anyone had any success using them long(ish) term as apposed to free leads or short trials?
