Bank Accounts

Hi all,

I have been looking at the business bank accounts available, and some seem really good, however, things always look good on paper. What experiences have you had, are there any you can recommend, or tell me to stay away from.

I would suggest the Abbey business bank account ... it free, but with t&c. The Co-op also offer free business banking if you are a member of the FSB.

Some banks offer free banking for a particular period but free doesn't always equal good. I think it all depends on your bank's business manager and the relationship you have with them. Different banks are good in different areas according to their business manager. Talk with local companies if you can to find out their experiences.

I'm one of the sad old sods who's been using the same bank for over 25 years, never thought of changing as they've always been good to me - well except for cancelling my credit card because I wasn't using it enough!:redface:

So when I found they're free for ever (within set limits of course!) it was a no-brainer, and - though early days - they've not given me trouble yet - Abbey...

Cheap with awful customer service? The only way of making contact a call centre in India?

In my experience recently i have found that the Yorkshire Bank have a good system - i think that the only downfall with this bank is their online telebanking system, needs a complete revamp - i have been working with this system for the last seven years and not a single update to their system. Also worth looking in to the Natwest - very good and easy to set up etc

Well, I have been into a lot of banks over the past week, and one that I won't be going with because they were so pushy is the Halifax. Thank you for all of your advice.
