Baidu is the worlds second largest search engine and is number 6 on the alexa ranking, now i know its chinese so probably isnt going to drive much targeted traffic but you never know.

Anyway to submit your site follow this link http://www.baidu.com/search/url_submit.html if after you press submit(the one after the captcha), it says success in the address bar, then its done, can take up to a month apparently to show up.

here is the english translation http://translate.google.com/translate?prev=&hl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.baidu.com%0D%0A&sl=zh-CN&tl=en

#55 and 56 are about Baidu.

Interesting that they look further down the SERP page.

I just checked my personal site (never submitted it) and it's up there :)

Apparently you *must* submit to Yandex, however.

Only in America (30% share depending on which figures you look at)

Bing has about 5% in UK and <1% most other places.

Baidu gets 69% of search in China

Though of course, Google is borderline unavailable in China (you can access the Hong Kong version, but not always reliably) so I'm a little sceptical that it has even 28% of the market there.

As for why Baidu users read further down the page - well if you look at the results you'll quickly realise the reason! The algorithm is about 3-4 years behind Google/Bing and they don't separate organic and paid results very transparently....
