I have just taken a look on the web and i can’t seem to find a list of websites which offer free reciprocal back links. I have been using back links checker to access some of them, but I am shocked that there isn’t a list floating around.

If anyone is aware of any sites or lists please share.
What Software doing SEO professional use to build back links?

Rather than looking for link lists and what nots you will be better served by building relationships with companies/individuals that are thematically associated to your website or product and in which, will be more suitable and open to linking to your website or product naturally.

These sites will damage your website ratings with the friendly google spiders.

Forget back links, a good site should build them naturally.

Pay more attention to this really.

Go to Google and find your competitors,

then you can view each of your competitors incoming links using bing webmaster tools (this used to be yahoo site explorer, but it has merged into bing)

Then you should have a much better chance and quicker at finding places to get inbound links for your site

Link-building is about tracking down worthy websites that may have some sort of free link space going.

Most link pages have already been/are being deleted now - the rule is the better the webspace - the more expensive the link will be, and I found a hotel website yesterday that charges £200 per link. I think it was a 12 year old website, so well established in its sector but couldnt tell if it was still 'active' though.

Gone are the days when you can easily find recip link pages, and many are closed-off/reserved for current clients or partnership deals.

Nice idea, but you wont totally get everything for free - even if a partnership/relationship applies. Might work at some level, but only if you own a website that matches what you seek, and that means website size, authority, traffic, credibility etc.

Do you know where in Bing Webmaster Tools you go to view other websites links as I can view all mine under the Index tab / Inbound Links but for can't see where you can see other sites link like you used to on yahoo site explorer?

Thanks
