B2B websites

Hi

Has anyone actually found a decent website that would deal with b2b issues in a proper manner?

My experience with these has been rather discouraging... Normally bad English and 'fishy' to say the least. Any ideas anyone?

No problem.

I have some experience of Alibaba and obviously our own WeCanDo.BIZ.

Alibaba feels like what the name suggests -- a foreign bazaar of people bartering in a way that's unfamiliar and a little... er... challenging to us reserved English types. If there is bad spelling and odd pitching it's because you are dealing with grass roots traders in China and India. What would expect?

Alibaba I can see a role for if you want to source big volumes of consumer items from cheap labour markets, but perhaps not so great for other stuff.

Each has their niche.

Though there are many disadvantages of Alibaba, but i think it is succesfull. You can buy most things from this site and the price is cheap. For poor english, just as said before, english is not their native language, so i think it is normal that their english not good.

Alibaba is the no.1, Tradekey is no.2, made-in-china is no.3.
As for poor English, you should know that there are more countries whose native language is English. So how do you account on their good English?

What do you mean by 'more countries whose native language is English'? I'm not sure if I understood that correctly:(

Could you please be more specific as to what disadvantages of Alibaba in particular?

We were sourcing rapeseed oil about 3 years ago using Alibaba.

Unfortunately we made the mistake of using our company's main email address and were bombarded with unsolicited email many many months later!

Was that Alibaba's fault for disclosing it to the public or the fact that it was readily available to anyone browsing the website?
