B2B returns.

Hi, looking for a little bit of advice.
I purchased some items from a wholesaler, when they arrived 4 of the items were completely different from what i ordered. After a few messages back and forward they eventually agreed they had made a mistake.
I have asked for a returns label but they have just sent an automated messaged saying sorry you are not happy with your order blah blah and no returns label.
As this is their mistake who is responsible for the return postage?
Thanks in advance

They should cover the cost of postage. They've made the mistake.

You have a contract with them to provide certain goods, and until they do so the contract is not satisfied. Demand the goods you ordered. What happens to the stuff they sent in error is their problem (though you should take reasonable care of them)

How much do you value your relationship with your supplier

Unless its very expensive sending them back i.e. out of the country, then maybe better to pay yourself and ask for a refund when you next order from them

If say you ordered from China then it may be cheaper to keep the items and try and sell them as return postage will be far in excess of their worth

Long term futures with a good supplier is best served with a bit of flexibility and give and take by not making mountains out of molehills
